Dear Student,
We at
Christ's Ambassadors are thrilled and delighted that you want to learn about
God's will for you. We are honored that you have chosen this website to help you
along your spiritual journey and we also have the utmost confidence that you
will be enriched as a result of your endeavor. As you begin your study of the
Bible, please keep this important consideration in mind:
Human
opinions, traditions and doctrines that are not supported by the Bible should
not be trusted. The Bible was written in simple, easy to understand language so
that anyone and everyone can read and understand for himself the gospel message.
As is the case with all other literary works, even the Bible is subject to being
quoted and applied out of context. It is the goal of Christ's Ambassadors not to
do this. You, the student, are encouraged to verify the context of all Bible
verses examined throughout the course of this study.
Should you suspect that contextual
integrity has been compromised, email your observation to BibleStudy@QFTs.org
and we will give your input prayerful consideration. We will also email back a
response to you as soon as possible.
The
Quest for Truth on-line study guide is formatted in this way: the
student will read the passage for himself or the passage will be read aloud
using the sound button at the bottom of the page (the sound download may take a
moment). Simple and objective "True
or False" / "Yes or No" questions will then follow and you, the student, will
then provide your answer based only upon the passage read.
There are no trick questions. The questions are solely intended to
help you understand and properly apply the information.
The default
translation being used for this course is the
God's Word Bible. This translation was chosen for its easy to read
format and modern American English linguistics. For more information regarding
this translation, go to
www.greenkeybooks.com/godsword.asp (there is not a link
to go back - click on the back button to return). If you would like to compare
God's Word translation with your
preferred translation, move your cursor over the book chapter verse at the top
and a pop-up window will display your translation of choice. To make your
choice, go to the control panel below and select your translation. Also, when
the Bible icon pops ups, "more" appears at the bottom left. If you have the
"Logos" Bible study program installed on your hard drive, then you might
want to check the Libronix box which will provide additional study resources.
Again, thank
you for allowing us to the opportunity to study God' s word with you. May you be
richly blessed.
